Expressive notes of black pepper, blackberry, olive tapenade, dark cherry and forest floor aromas. The palate is rich and velvety with ripe currant, huckleberry and savory game notes. Polished fine grain tannins and bright acidity on the lengthy finish.
Hand harvested grapes were fermented in small open top stainless steel tanks with 30% whole clusters. The cap was punched down two times per day. After fermentation the wine was gently pressed and transferred to barrels to complete secondary fermentation. The wine was blended and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
